The Great Composer Quiz – June 1, 2020
Time’s up, pencils down, the Great Composer who, as a boy, showed no musical skill whatsoever. His teacher reportedly said he would “torture the piano in a most abominable fashion.” But our young Great Composer was confident and ambitious even as a boy, and at age 13 he began writing music. His schoolmates considered him arrogant. But one day, many years later, upon his death, The New York Times wrote “In the face of mortifying failures and discouragements, he apparently never lost confidence in himself.”
