The Great Composer Quiz – June 2, 2020
This time, it’s a Quiz about holding them, or folding them, gracefully. This Great Composer was reportedly an avid card player. It so happened there is a card game with the same name as our Great Composer. It’s played with a deck of blank index cards, which are written and drawn upon by players before or during the game. But that was not the card game our Great Composer played, and when he played, if he lost, he was known to throw the cards down angrily, or in mock anger perhaps. Anyway, he would get pretty worked up over the game. So who was this card playing sore loser, this Great Composer?
Time’s up, pencils down. The Great Composer who would disrupt a card game with a tantrum (real or fake) when he lost. The answer is Antonin Dvorak. The card game named Dvorak can be found by clicking here.
