The Great Composer Quiz – September 22, 2020
This time, it’s a Quiz you must take even if you are only auditing this course. This Great Composer did not receive much in the way of formal education. He left school early to help make money for the family. However, as a touring pianist, typically with a violinist, and for a time with a future great violinist, our Great Composer would often spend a few extra days in a town where he had traveled to to give a concert, and sit in on a course or two at the local university. In this way, he was able to hear some of the most renowned teachers of the day. So who was this new student in the lecture hall, this Great Composer?
