This time, it’s a Quiz that shows it’s never too late to re-visit your past. As a boy, his Great Composer was tended to by a governess, but from age nine to fifty-three he never saw this governess. Then, while inn Berlin attending to the staging of one of his operas, our Great Composer carried through on a lone-time promise to go to the small swiss village where his former governess lived. They met again after forty-four years, the governess and her charge, whom used to call “a porcelain child.” As it turned out, the governess would outlive the porcelain child, for he would die just months after this long overdue visit.
