The Great Composer Quiz – August 25, 2020
This time, during our election season, it’s a Quiz about the consequences of speaking your political mind. This Great Composer was once at a friend’s apartment, a young poet, when the police arrived to examine and confiscate some of the poet’s papers concerning a student organization which was suspected of illegal political activity. The police report later said that the poet used offensive language with the police, saying that “the government was too stupid to be able to penetrate into his secrets.” Our Great Composer apparently, said the police report, “chimed in against the authorized official in the same tone, using insulting and foul language.” Everyone in the apartment was arrested. So who was this civil disobedient man, this Great Composer?
